Op Shop Opulence

Ng膩 Manu K艒rero 2024

On Friday 24 May, seven schools from across the region participated in the 2024 Ng膩 Manu K艒rero M膩ori Speech Competition.

The Science of Rongo膩

Since the start of this year, Year 10 students have been able to choose different ‘flavoured’ modules within each of their core subjects. Last week the ‘Human and Environmental Health’ Science class learnt how to make their own kawakawa balm, a natural antiseptic used by M膩ori for generations.

Level 2 Geography Field Trip

Last week 38 students from our Level 2 Geography classes departed Nayland for the source of the Kawatiri (Buller) River at Lake Rotoiti.

Students find their way to Kaiteriteri

This week, waka hourua (traditional twin hulled sailing boats) converged on Kaiteriteri for the first time in over one thousand years with the aim to pass on some ancient M膩ori and Pacific wayfinding knowledge to school students from around the rohe.

A&P Show End of Term Celebration
